About
Lana Del Rey announces a 2025 UK & Ireland summer tour
Following a series of sensational live shows in 2024 – including headline performances at festivals including Coachella, Reading & Leeds, and Rock en Seine, as well as her first stadium show at Fenway Park, Boston, USA – now, Del Rey returns with her first UK and
Ireland stadium shows. The tour includes shows in London, Dublin, Liverpool, Glasgow and Cardiff.
New York raised Lana released her self-titled debut album in 2010. However, Lana Del Ray – the original spelling of the singer’s stage name – was pulled from iTunes just a few months later. A frustrating record contract and a whole host of new ideas meant that Del Rey was preparing to make moves in a different direction.
Self-made videos for self-released singles followed in 2011. It was one of these, made for the song ‘Video Games’, that sparked a storm of online interest in Del Rey. The melancholy baroque pop ballad captured the attention of a generation and became Del Rey’s official debut single when she signed with Stranger Records a few months later. It preceded Born To Die, Del Rey’s major-label debut. Charting at no.1 in 11 countries, Born To Die saw extraordinary success, and indicated the arrival of a new superstar.
Over the next eleven years, Del Rey would go on to release a further seven studio albums, including 2014’s Ultraviolence and 2019’s Norman F*cking Rockwell, along with two further extended plays. Her most recent record, Did you know that there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd, received widespread acclaim, with critics calling it Del Rey’s most personal album, as well as her most emotionally complex. Across her career Del Rey has collaborated with artists such as Miley Cyrus, A$AP Rocky and Taylor Swift, and has created music for projects such as The Great Gatsby, Maleficent and Charlie’s Angels.
Del Rey’s career in music has been intrinsically tied to film and visual media from early in her career, with the artist creating many short films over the years to tie in with her musical releases. She wrote and starred in the critically acclaimed short film Tropico in 2013, and served as executive producer on Hi, How Are You Daniel Johnston?, the short documentary film about the late musician. Del Rey also released a poetry collection in 2020 entitled Violet Bent Backwards Over The Grass.
In 2023, Del Rey released her ninth studio album Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd. Featuring collaborations including Father John Misty, Bleachers and Jon Batiste, the album was lauded for its stylistic shift, with The Guardian calling it "her quietest, most wilfully inscrutable record." That summer she headlined festivals including Reading & Leeds, Primavera Sound and Glastonbury.
In November 2024, Del Rey announced UK & Ireland stadium shows for June and July 2025, performing in Cardiff, Glasgow, Liverpool, Dublin and London.
